The 2019/2020 bushfire season showcased a strong necessity for improvements in community resiliency, and revealed the capabilities of individuals and groups to plan and adapt. This project explores the formation of ‘zones of care’ that emerged naturally during the fire. These zones organise the people of rosedale to work as a collective under a shared acknowledgement of responsiblity for land and place; and active collaboration in sharing, storing, and organising resources for resiliency with landscape.
Resilient infrastructure systems and resource availability aims to provide solutions to the struggles surrounding unavailablity, or loss of resources for the community during and after the fires; and hopes to provide new strength to community response and preparedness for the future.
